You could say that during our 4 weeks of woofing and van life, we've eaten really wholesome, clean meals. Garden veggies, foraged fruit, organic meats. Couple that with our upcoming 4 weeks of lentils in Nepal (even the flight crew on today's plane noted the lack of carbs in our future), and we were kinda jonesing for a big old greasy pizza. This meant we needed to activate 'Operation Pizza Pie'. Here's how the plan shook down.
2:00 pm - Search Google maps for a pizza place within walking distance of hotel. HIT: Dominoes was 26 minutes away.
2:15 pm - Scour the Domino's website for deals. HIT: A large value pizza, garlic bread, pop for $10. Could this be true?
2:45 pm - Nap. Hunting down pizza takes a lot out of you.
5:00 pm - Confirm order. Dammit - The $10 deal was gone. Must have been for lunch only.
5:15 pm - Find another deal. Large 3 meat, deep dish pizza for $9. Thirty minutes to sort out, but seems like a good option.
5:45 pm - Walk to shopping area and order pizza on route.
6:10 pm - Place pizza order and head to grocery store for last minute Tim Tam (cookie) purchase. Remember the upcoming 4 weeks of lentils???
6:20 pm - Search around every corner of shopping area for Domino's, and question if it really exists. FInally find it.
6:25 pm - Enter Domino's to pick up pizza. Notice box is VERY small.
6:30 pm - Cross busy road to enjoy pizza in park.
6:35 pm - Open box to find EXTREMELY small pizza. Laugh as we take picture of our supper, if you can call it that.
6:36 pm - Finish pizza.
6:40 pm - Hit up grocery store on the way home to buy bread for peanut butter sandwiches!
